Located in the heart of Taman Shanghai, Jiak & Sip is a delightful café that offers a unique blend of Malaysian specialties and a cozy ambiance that invites you to unwind. With its charming rustic decor, this café creates a welcoming retreat from the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a place to linger, Jiak & Sip has you covered.

This café stands out for its diverse menu that combines traditional comfort food with modern flair. The signature Nasi Lemak is a must-try—layered with fragrant rice, crispy anchovies, sambal, and a perfectly boiled egg, it's a dish that captures the essence of local flavors. Additionally, don’t miss the Baba Laksa, a rich and spicy noodle soup that reflects the best of Peranakan cuisine, despite feedback suggesting variations in its consistency.

One of the highlights is the Kaya Butter Toast, served with an indulgent amount of rich, creamy butter that melts divinely onto the crispy toast. The flavors truly shine and will send you back for seconds! Customers have praised the sambal petai with prawn as well—spicy and vibrant, it’s certainly a dish to remember.

What really sets Jiak & Sip apart is its atmosphere; many guests emphasize the café's comfortable, laid-back vibe. One customer fondly mentions the “rustic chill chair vibe,” perfect for relaxing with friends or simply savoring your meal. With attentive and friendly staff, like the team behind the bar who ensure to cater to your needs—be it a request for extra cucumber or removing shrimp from rather spicy dishes—you can expect a personalized dining experience. Caryn Jen's review highlights the swift service, ensuring that you won't be waiting long to indulge in your meal, and Meilanie Ng lauds how the café exceeded expectations during an event, showcasing their capability for special occasions as well.

So, whether you’re looking for a fulfilling meal or simply a quiet corner to sip your favorite beverage, Jiak & Sip beckons with open arms. Their expertly crafted dishes and inviting warmth make every visit a delightful culinary journey, and it's undoubtedly a hidden gem in the vibrant landscape of Kuala Lumpur.

Roti Bakar (rm4.50); butter amount seems excessive but i find it bearable and butter taste yumsss. bread is crunchy when i bite into it. Baba Laksa (rm16.90); i find the taste okay, just abit watery and oily. i like the sambal. food was served pretty quick. staff was friendly and helpful to us. i asked for extra cucumber they gave. they even brought a sharing bowl without me having to ask for it.

We recently engaged Jiak And Sip for our event, and they truly exceeded our expectations! From the quality of the food to the impeccable service, everything was top-notch. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also packed with authentic flavors that left our guests raving. Their team was professional, punctual, and very accommodating to our requests, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The portion sizes were generous, and every dish was freshly prepared with great attention to detail. If you're looking for a catering service that delivers both quality and taste, Jiak And Sip is definitely a fantastic choice. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back for future events!

What I really liked about this place gotta be the rustic chill chair vibe more than the food unfortunately! It wasn't crowded when I came for a late Saturday lunch but the downside gotta be no more laksa :(( sad. The sambal petai was pretty spicy! While the Kaya butter toast's toast was the flaky kind with a sweet ish kind of Kaya. It was alright, pretty standard. Hor Ka sai is a strong flavour drink with lots more Milo and coffee in one cup.

Just pass by and walk in this afternoon. I know I should try their laksa or nasi lemak but we wanna try something else beside the most recommended. The sambal petai with prawn is outstanding, sambal petai and the whole combination is good, the rice can be better. The hot pot Yee Mee is just decent, soup is tasty good. Shredded Egg Scallion oil Noodle is surprisingly good. Fruit rojak is nothing special, the sauce should be stronger taste and with more peanuts. The environment is surround with all old staffs and memories, and they choose those 80s-90s songs. Just one thing… it’s getting hotter after 30 mins we sit in although there is many fans hanging on the ceiling. Today special: can redeem a durian if you spend over RM60.00 thank you boss!

The food here is super tasty and the service is great! You’ve got to try their signature nasi lemak and the unique ‘虎咬狮’ — so worth it! What I love most is that the sambal petai is cooked fresh every time you order. The lady boss is really friendly and even customizes the food based on what you want. I asked for petai without shrimp, and she made it for me on the spot — love that! Such a hidden gem!
